FFCU Trade Mastery Scholarship

The Fremont Federal Credit Union Trade Mastery Scholarship is designed to support high school seniors who choose to pursue specialized trades instead of a college education after graduation. This scholarship is aimed at helping these individuals by providing financial assistance for the necessary tools or supplies required to begin their career paths. To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants or their parents/legal guardians must be active members of Fremont Federal Credit Union and must have maintained good standing since January 1, 2023.

Eligibility Requirements

Who Is Eligible: Open to high school seniors who have made the decision to enter their specialized trade workforce immediately after graduation, foregoing college.

Application Deadline: April 1, 2024

Scholarship Amount: Covers the cost of tools and/or supplies essential for pursuing a career in the specified trade.

  • Must be a Fremont Federal Credit Union member and in good standing since January 1, 2023.
  • Must be a high school senior attending a vocational tech school.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
  • Employees of and dependent children of Fremont Federal Credit Union and its affiliates are ineligible.

Notification

Applicants will be notified of the status of their application in late April. Not all applicants will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Fremont Federal Credit Union will purchase tools/supplies for the scholarship winner.

Scholarship recipients are selected based on:

  • Completion of application. Must be typed.
  • Copy of transcripts.
  • Work experience
  • Statement of career goals and objectives
     

The Fremont Federal Credit Union Scholarship Committee is responsible for selecting recipients. In no instance does any officer or employee of FFCU play a part in the selection process. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

AGREEMENT

  • I understand that this scholarship application and supporting information become the property of Fremont Federal Credit Union.
     
  • I agree that Fremont Federal Credit Union shall have discretionary authority, including publicity, in all matters pertaining to this scholarship.
     
  • I certify that the information in this application is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I will notify Fremont Federal Credit Union if there are any changes.
     
  • If selected, Fremont Federal Credit Union will award the applicant by purchasing the tools, uniforms, etc. items needed in their chosen work field up to $1,000.00.

 

  • Please state the names of your parents/guardians and the account number under which you are associated with.

This is for use in a press release to recognize scholarship recipients. (Account Numbers will not be published) Scholarship awards will be presented on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
