Making the Right Money Moves at SJCC

Our high school literacy program called Making the Right Money Moves is always enthusiastically welcomed at St. Joseph Central Catholic High School.  Business classes for juniors and seniors, taught by Mrs. Amy Ronski,  and Senior Math classes taught by Mr. Greg Kohler use the program each year.

"It always amazes me the questions we are asked by the students," comments Kelly Calmes Marketing Director for our credit union.  "We get into some in-depth conversations about managing credit and the importance of a good credit score.  We try to emphasize to the students that they own their credit score and that everyone starts out the same, with no credit score.  It's a pretty powerful tool to building wealth in the future.  We also educate the students on the fact that their credit report might be used in employment screening, renting an apartment etc.  It opens the door to some great discussions."
